"Expanding" one's "learning network" talks about one being able to learn and increasing their knowledge anywhere around the globe by using communication and interaction etc. In SST, every student is a thinker, innovator and entrepreneur. In order to achieve this, we can expand our learning network by finding and trying new ways of learning all the time.

Feelings and Reactions when I was Accepted by SST

I was very happy when I was accepted for SST as I know that SST will allow me to learn in a special and unique way.

I have learnt much on blogging through creating this blog and I hope that SST will provide more opportunities for students to blog in the future.

Bridge Building Activity-Debrief (II) Personal Reflection

Today is the first day of school at SST. All the pioneer students of SST built model movable bridges. This project allowed students to work as a team. I worked with Jing Yi, Dionne, Jie Min and Marcus. At first, I felt a little nervous but it was soon overcome when I realized that the project wasn't as hard as I thought it was. Together, my group members and I completed the model of the swing bridge. Through this whole process, I learnt that people can work better when they work together as a team as there will be many ideas to improve on and many perspectives to look on. However, I believed we could have done better and the bridge that we have done was not our best because of the fact that we did not plan the entire project and the role of the group members properly. Also, we did not interact well during the process, which is probably due to the lack of time. Every group member was busy with their own idea. In the future, I will try to play my role as a group member better by accepting and improving others' ideas and suggesting the increase of the amount of time given to complete the project.
